Creative arts are not optional

Every year, funding for creative arts in state schools shrinks a little further. Every year, the case for the arts as a serious investment in young people gets a little stronger.

Creative arts aren't a luxury. They're where young people learn to think in systems, tell a story, and defend a point of view. They're where confidence is built and where quiet young people first find a voice.

We'll keep making the case, in the rooms where the case needs to be made. And we'll keep running the programmes, whether or not the case has landed yet.
